Excel alternative for learners without Power BI Desktop

Use Excel if you do not have Power BI Desktop

Not every learner has a Windows computer. The same ideas can be practised in Excel: totals and percentages, PivotTables where supported, PivotCharts or ordinary charts, a worksheet that arranges charts and summary cells, and a short written interpretation. Excel will not reproduce every Power BI feature. Phone learners can study the demonstrations and complete the calculations in a compatible spreadsheet. Some dashboard-building tasks are easier on a computer.

Module 5 completion checklist

You have learned the foundations of health data visualisation and dashboard design: how to organise indicators, choose visuals, and communicate findings that can support a decision.

Next: Module 6, Monitoring, Evaluation and Health Programme Performance. It connects these skills with programme indicators, results frameworks, routine data quality assessments, MEAL and reporting.
